Sample Itinerary
Day One - Into the jungle
After breakfast this morning, we will pick you up and take you back to the airport for a flight across the Andes and down into the Amazon basin to the town of Coca. Here we will board our motorboats to take us down the Napo river towards the Sacha Private Reserve. We will disembark and take a short path (don't worry - we'll carry the luggage!) along a forest trail to the shores of Pilchicocha lake, where the lodge staff will be waiting to take you across the lake to Sacha Lodge. This afternoon we will have a short briefing session and then a chance to explore the trails around the lodge.
Days Two and Three - Design your own jungle itinerary
One of the many great things about Sacha Lodge is that you can design your own itinerary while you are here. Days usually start early so you can catch the best of the early-morning wildlife, before returning to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the day can then be spent however you like - from some of the trails along the primary rainforest floor, or getting a birds-eye view of things from the canopy walk or the observation tower. You can also head out in dugout canoes to explore the blackwater lakes and creeks of the area, and even swimming and fishing. After dinner, those who wish can go on night walks and canoe trips to spot some of the more reclusive jungle residents, such as the giant caiman who are the kings of the night-time forest...
All activities are accompanied by local expert guides, who know all the secrets of the surrounding area, and are incredibly alert to wildlife spotting opportunities so you can be sure you'll really get the most out of your stay here at Sacha Lodge.
Day Four - Back to Quito
After our final jungle breakfast this morning, we will pick you up and take you back downriver to Coca for the flight back up to Quito. On arrival, we’ll take you back to your hotel so you can get ready to head out and continue your holiday in Ecuador.

A stay at Sacha Lodge can be added on to any of our holidays in Ecuador and you can stay for as long as you like!
Our price for the sample itinerary given here is £700 per person. This price is based on two people sharing a double or twin room and includes all the following:
- Three nights accommodation at Sacha Lodge
- All transfers
- All meals at Sacha Lodge
- Flights Quito-Coca-Quito
- All entrance fees
- All activities while at Sacha Lodge
