Sample Itinerary
Day One - Arrival on Baltra
Your flight from the mainland will touch down on the island of Baltra this morning, and we will pick you up and take you across the Itabaca Strait to Santa Cruz and the Mainao Inn. You will have the rest of the day free to relax and explore the town.
Day Two - Day trip to Bartolome
Today we will travel by a small boat to the island of Bartolome. We will hike along the moon-like terrain to reach the highest point of the island to enjoy a magnificent view of the Galapagos, especially Pinnacle Rock, one of the most-photographed sites on the islands! In the afternoon, we’ll have a chance to swim with penguins after enjoying lunch on the boat.
Day Three - Highlands of Santa Cruz
Today we will travel up into the highlands of Santa Cruz island. First, we will visit some of the famous Galapagos turtles and then afterwards we will set off an extraordinary hike into the lava tunnels that were created as the streams of molten rock cooled down. After lunch, our trail leads us to Santa Cruz’s beautiful white sand beaches and equatorial lagoons.
Day Four - Back to Quito
After breakfast this morning, we will travel back to the airport on Baltra to catch a flight back to the mainland.

A stay at the Mainao Inn in the Galapagos can be added on to any of our holidays in Ecuador and you can stay for as long as you like!
Our price for the sample itinerary given here is £750 per person. This price is based on two people sharing a double or twin room and includes all the following:
- Three nights accommodation at the Mainao Inn hotel
- All transfers
